A DOG has retrieved what is believed to be a stick of gelignite from a disused industrial building in country Victoria, putting the area into lockdown.
The dog, which lives at the Haven industrial site near Horsham, found the suspected explosive in an open field on Monday morning and brought it back into the office.
Worried workers spent four hours pondering over the find until finally calling police.
The bomb response unit locked down the area until they ascertained the explosive was actually a fire cracker.
