Katter loses another key lieutenant

A SECOND senior member of Bob Katter's Australian Party has resigned from their post.

KAP vice president and chair of finance Kevin Brown today said in a statement he would be stepping down from the positions, citing family reasons.

Last week, national director Aidan McLindon resigned as the party's national director.

"I need to dedicate more time to my family and work commitments and I wish the party all the very best in the future" Mr Brown said.

While both have wished the party and Mr Katter well, the shock resignations hint at turmoil within the party.
