AN elderly man has died in hospital after he and his wife were struck by a car while getting off a bus in Melbourne's south-east earlier this week.
The couple had got off the bus and were trying to cross Clarinda Rd, Clarinda, when they were hit by a southbound car at 6.15pm on Monday.
Both victims were taken to hospital but the 88-year-old man died last night about 11.30pm.
The latest death brings the state’s provisional road toll to 86, 17 fewer than the same time last year.
