IT could be the world's most expensive holiday - a $100,000 round-the-world jaunt visiting everywhere from the remote Easter Island to the glamour playground of Monte Carlo by private jet.

The founder of luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent Geoffrey Kent is offering 50 guests the chance to experience it all with him by their side next October.

The 26-day tour begins in Miami, with guests to visit nine countries on a chartered Boeing 757 fitted with business class seats, an on-board lounge and well-stocked bar.

Mr Kent said he wanted the trip to combine some of his favourite places with exotic destinations he hasn't yet been.

"Under ordinary circumstances these remote places are difficult - perhaps impossible - to visit on a single journey,'' he said.

"But a private luxury jet brings all these experiences within reach, in comfort and in style.''

The itinerary includes a cruise on the Amazon River, a tropical break in Samoa, an audience with the Huli Wigmen in Papua New Guinea, a temple ceremony in Bali and a visit to Komodo National Park to see the prehistoric Komodo dragon.

Travellers will also enjoy dinner with British and American diplomats at Galle Fort in Sri Lanka, meet lemurs in Madagascar and stay in an extravagant tented camp in Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve before the journey continues to Nice for a festive farewell in Mr Kent's adopted home, Monte Carlo.

Guests will be accompanied by a tour director and travelling bell boy and will stay in historic hotels such as Amangalla in Sri Lanka, on small boats like Aqua and Aria in the Amazon and in lavish resorts such as Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay in Bali.
