Truck rollover causes traffic congestion

A TRUCK rollover is causing major delays on the Warrego Highway this morning with traffic banked back through Dinmore.

A large gas tanker overturned, heading westbound along the highway about 6.42am.

Police believe the truck left the road and rolled down an embankment.

The male driver was able to free himself with no injuries.

Traffic is being diverted via River Rd at the entrance to the Warrego Highway between the Ipswich Motorway entrance and the Mt Crosby Rd exit.

Heavy vehicles are being urged to use Cunningham Highway until the accident has been cleared.

Meanwhile, a truck breakdown on the Port of Brisbane motorway is causing delays back to Fisherman's Island.

The eastbound lane was blocked off following the break down earlier this morning near Kite Street.

The lane has been re-opened but the Australian Traffic Network is urging motorists to expect minor delays.
