Guide to getting lucky at 35,000ft

Sir Richard Branson shows us how to use the in flight service to better your chances

RICHARD Branson has posted a video explaining how to get lucky at 35,000 feet. Watch it and tell us what you think.

The video posted on YouTube and Virgin America's Facebook page is supposed to promote Virgin Atlantic's new seat to seat ordering service.

Using the inflight entertainment screen passengers can choose to send a meal or a cocktail to another passenger on flight. Then they can then invite them to use the in-flight chat system. And let the flirting begin.

Branson gives his tips for wooing a woman including sending them a cheque for their favourite charity in the mouth of a puppy, taking a spin in a rocket ship and relaxing on a private island.

Then set to a background of elevator music Branson says: "Try treating her or him to something delicious using the new seat to seat feature of red. Just order a meal, drink or snack, select his or hers seat."

"Don't forget to seal the deal with suggestive seat to seat chat. I’m not a betting man but I say your chances of deplaning with a plus one are at least 50 per cent. Best of luck old man. Cheers."

There's not many comments on the YouTube video yet. But what is there has picked up on the fact the video is targeted at men.

One comment says "Ugh women had better fly another airline" While another simply says "Gross".

On Facebook the Airline is running a competition for passengers to tell the tale of how they used the flirty system. The best story will win a trip to Vegas.

The competition currently has 253 likes on Facebook.
