Man charged with ramming cop car

A MAN has been charged after allegedly ramming a police car with a stolen vehicle in south-west Brisbane this morning.

The 18-year-old from Corinda allegedly drove the stolen car into the front of a parked police car in Swift Street, Corinda about 3am.

Two police officers who were in the car at the time were not injured.

The police car sustained minor damage.

The driver has been further charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, wilful damage, two counts of failing to provide a specimen of breath and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, driving without required lights operating, obstruct and assault police.

The passenger, an 18-year-old Draper woman, has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

She is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are continuing.
