Man charged over alleged hit-run

A MOTORCYCLIST who allegedly hit a pedestrian while performing stunts before speeding off has been charged by police.

Officers raided the home of a 33-year-old Fitzroy North man last night.

Two bikes were seized and the man was charged with multiple offences including reckless conduct endangering life, recklessly and negligently cause serious injury and dangerous driving causing injury.

On Saturday, a 61-year-old man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition after being struck by a motorcycle in Brunswick East.

The 33-year-old man will appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on June 5.
