Accused killer remanded in custody

A MELBOURNE car shop owner charged over the fatal shooting of a man during what police described as a botched robbery has been remanded in custody.

Ivan D'Angelo, 37, sat in the dock at Melbournes Magistrates' Court today, charged with one count of murder.

He allegedly shot dead a man in his 20s at his Thomastown business last Thursday.

Police have described the incident as a robbery gone wrong.

Mr D'Angelo was supported in court by family.

He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody until June.
