Mediation for Beale over bouncer bash

WALLABY star Kurtley Beale will again go to mediation over allegations he hit a bouncer at a popular Brisbane pub.

Beale, 23, faces a charge of common assault over the alleged incident at the Victory Hotel in early June last year.

It is alleged he struck one of the security staff after he and teammate Quade Cooper tried to re-enter the premises after being ejected on the morning before the Wallabies' second Test victory over Wales at Suncorp Stadium.

Cooper was not charged over the incident.

Beale first appeared in court on July 24, 2012.

Beale was a no-show at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, with his lawyer instead seeking a further period of justice mediation to try and resolve the matter out of court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey adjourned the case until April 17 to allow this to take place.

Beale’s appearance in court was excused and his bail enlarged.
