WORLD'S smallest hotel is a bit of a squeeze. There's only one room. It's above the world's smallest cafe. At least there's good coffee.

The Hotel Central in Copenhagen will have only one 12m square room when it opens in June.

It was once the home of a shoe repairer who worked in the store below. For the last two years it has been empty until owner Leif Thingtved took ownership.

Mr Thingtved said the hotel is a little bit like stepping back in time. When guests arrive they will be served fruit and wine in their room and there will always be fresh flowers.

"The room comes with bathroom, flat screen, Royal Eden bed and mini bar," Mr Thingtved said. "There is a great attention to detail in the room, the lamps, pictures etc. It's a room you won't want to leave."
