A RESCUE helicopter has been dispatched to search for a dinghy reported missing near the Whitsundays in north Queensland last night.
The dinghy was reported missing about 10pm Monday.
The vessel’s last known location was north east of Hook Island, off the coast near Bowen.
A local volunteer marine rescue squadron is searching the bays and inlets around Hook Island and the RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter will fly over waters between Hook Island and Border Island.
It is unknown who is aboard the dinghy.
