Teen fighting for life after car crash

A TEENAGE girl is fighting for her life and police are on the lookout for a missing man after the car they were travelling in collided with another in Bundaberg overnight.

The car, believed to have been stolen from a Brisbane address earlier this week, was driving along Takalvan St about 10.30pm Thursday when it crashed into another car.

The 16-year-old girl was seriously injured and was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition, while a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl from the same car were taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are still searching for a man who is believed to have been travelling with the girls and is thought to have fled the scene of the crash.

Officers also allege the car involved in the incident was stolen.

The driver and sole occupant of the second car was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
