THE BODY of a woman has been found in a house in South Morang.
The victim was found about 3pm at a property in Thrush St yesterday.
A South Morang man was taken to the Alfred Hospital about the same time.
He had upper body injuries.
The homicide squad was at the scene.
Neighbour Attila Fogas said he heard three screams then "cops were everywhere" just before 3pm.
"It was a loud scream or yell," Mr Fogas, 50, said.
"It was someone arguing at someone else.
"It was one person yelling, a man. He was saying 'What have you done, what's going on'."
Mr Fogas said he knew the couple describing the man as "placid" and the woman as "quiet".
He said the man had recently installed an air-conditioner in his home.
"I should have gone and checked. Maybe this might not have happened."
