A FIRE that engulfed a clubhouse of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang is being treated as suspicious.
Police said no one was inside the building when the blaze broke out last night and they are investigating the cause of the fire.
Three fire crews were called to an industrial complex on Southern Cross Circuit in Urangan, at Hervey Bay north of Maryborough, at 11.37pm and found the clubhouse engulfed by flames.
Crews said the fire had spread to both levels of the two-storey commercial unit, but they were able to prevent the neighbouring unit also catching alight.
Crews said the mezzanine level of the clubhouse had partially collapsed and the building had suffered severe structural fractures.
