A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been charged after a woman was allegedly held captive at a property in Brisbane's southwest where she was tortured for a number of hours.
Police said the woman, 20, was held against her will and assaulted at a Southern Cross Avenue address in Darra from 9.30pm Tuesday to 1pm Wednesday.
The details of her injuries are unknown but it is believed police were alerted after the woman took herself to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A man is expected to front the Richlands Magistrates Court today on charges of torture, assault occasioning bodily harm and deprivation of liberty.
It is believed the pair is known to each other.
