A LEARJET with eight people aboard which suffered landing gear problems has landed safely in the US.
Diane Earhart of St Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois, said air traffic control had confirmed the aircraft's landing gear was not functioning correctly.
The pilot is circled that airport before deciding to land at the larger Lambert–St Louis International Airport in St Louis, Missouri.
TV station KTVI said the plane landed safely.
The Federal Aviation Administration said eight people were aboard the Learjet 45, which was inbound from Wooster, Ohio. The FAA said the pilot reported trouble with the aircraft's front landing gear.
