A LOGAN man found lying in a gutter after being stabbed several times in the neck and chest overnight is recovering in hospital.
Emergency surgery has been performed on the man found in Kunari Street in Slacks Creek, on Friday night.
A call from a member of the public alerted police to the wounded man, at around 9pm.
Police located a 22-year-old man in Kingston in the early hours of Saturday morning. He is assisting police with their inquires.
A police spokesman said they believe the two men were known to each other.
The 38-year-old victim from Crestmead was taken to the PA where he was stabilised and remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
