Man bites long arm (and leg) of the law

A MAN allegedly bit two police officers after they arrested him at the University of Queensland?s Gatton campus.

Police allege that about 12.05am Thursday a 25-year-old man became aggressive as they tried to arrest him.

As the man was being forced into the police car he tried to get out and began kicking and head-butting the windows.

He then bit one officer on the right forearm causing minor injuries while the other officer was left bleeding after the man bit him on the lower left leg.

The man is due in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today charged with two counts of serious assault, two counts of obstructing police and one count of public nuisance.
